To celebrate my 100th post, I’m sharing a fresh photo of Gothenburg’s most famous statue: Poseidon on Götaplatsen.
Happy Easter!
The girls want to explain about the Easter witch tradition in Sweden! Happy Easter! Glad Påsk!
(They go to Blåkulla to the devil’s party!)
Our English group for children 9-12 uses English as a medium for learning and developing social skills. The children do not know each other or go to the same school. They come together to learn English in a small group for one hour of extra English on Saturday mornings. The focus has to be on fun, that is why we dress up and have conversations, make videos and tell jokes. We follow the seasons and have themes like Easter, spring, St. Patrick’s Day etc. We find a topical approach keeps the children motivated and complements what they learn at school.
The place we meet is Medborgarskolan in Gothenburg (Molingsgatan), Sweden.
The boys have some Easter jokes for you!
What do you call an Easter bunny with fleas? Bugs Bunny!
With a week to go until Easter, you can guess what our theme was today! We read an Easter story and an Easter poem as well as trying out the Easter jokes. We also had some Easter interviews about Swedish Easter traditions!
I can’t resist spring flowers! Easter greetings from Gothenburg, Sweden!
Seascapes captured on a cold Sunday in March in Särö, south of Gothenburg, Sweden. Yes, that is snow, not surf!
